Were West of Roanoke for one reason. The lottery was voted to be accepted based on doing what? Helping our schools. What schools locally has it helped? None. We will only get what Richmond wants us to have. And when they don't want us to get it we won't.
Our problems are not only with our schools. We have major county wide problems.
But i'll agree. Our kids have to share books? In all honesty that really well i want say it here.
But economically we and many other counties are hurting. And it don't look good for any. Yet Richmond and others tell us vote for this and that, and it will help us out? I'd like to see when.
A lot of problems yet to come folks, and probably if not a big change in the near future a lot more tax increases.
When you have 5 other counties worried how they will make it. I think it's time some begin to take notice.
If those in Richmond care. They could allocate money in larger amounts from one area to another. Just like Omnibus said, most of it goes into the general fund?
Well what would be wrong with a school fund?
Divide the state up into four regions and give out money and more to those who need help now.
Then as their work is done, give it somewhere else in which it is needed, but each region gets a certain amount no matter what.
They could repair and build or do what ever was needed. And VA schools would all be in good shape. But you will never hear of that happening.
The old saying in Richmond we like how they work, but we can't help their situation? Are we not a part of VA also?
